Frozen SkiesI once had a business offer to be a partner with someone who did not share the same faith as me. Was this a deal breaker? For me, absolutely. Business is difficult enough, but when someone does not share the same priorities, same vision, same moral principles, it is very difficult to run a business with unity. Like a marriage where faiths oppose, a meeting of the minds and hearts tends to drive one another away instead of together.

Similarly, if you have professional relationships with a career counselor, psychologist, financial planner, or attorney, or other person that involves revealing personal dreams, convictions, and goals, how can they provide true, meaningful advice if they do not share the same common belief system? The advice is only as good as the source. If the source is not God,it is inferior.

God designed everything in this world. Who knows more than God? No one! Man can try to imitate. He can try alternative theories of life. He can try to take God out of the equation, but He can never replace the true wisdom of God. If you have been seeking the professional advice from someone who does not share your same faith and moral background, I would re-evaluate the relationship. Can you find a better fit? I am not saying you need to break off that relationship, but you need to make sure the advice is not conflicting with what God says.
